OIC New Program Offering News Release: 6/24/2019
OIC of Wilson is now an ACT – Licensed Test Center and is offering Paper and Pencil testing for the National Career Readiness Certification. This accreditation will increase access to ACT WorkKeys’ Assessment certifications as well as remove barriers and pave the way for the Workforce, Higher Education, K-12 Professionals, and Students and Parents. It is designed to help individuals succeed from elementary school through career obtain and keep a job, qualify for company’s promotion, and/or list as an achievement on scholarship applications.
ACT WorkKeys Assessments measure skills needed for success in the workplace in areas such as Applied Mathematics, Workplace Documents (Reading for Information) and Graphic Literacy (Locating Information). These assessments have been used for more than two decades to measure essential college and career readiness skills. The certifications, (Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum) recognized in both the US and Mexico, are used by job seekers as a credential and by employers to analyze the qualifications of job candidates.
Classes will begin July 8th – 11th from 10 am – 12 noon. Community Testing will be offered on Thursday July 11th, 9am – 12 noon; Wednesday July 17th, 1pm – 4pm and Tuesday July 30th, 10 AM – 1 PM.
